ABOUT

I led strategy, branding, and website design for Agroforestry Northwest, an education and consulting non-profit dedicated to regenerative land stewardship in the Pacific Northwest. Using Figma and Framer, I developed a clear visual identity and a user-friendly website that communicates their mission and services with clarity and warmth. The design helps position them as a trusted guide for landowners and community members seeking resilient, climate-adapted agroforestry solutions rooted in local ecology and hands-on education.

The Foundation of Great Design

I start every project by asking the following questions: Why are we doing this? How are we going to do it? What do we do? This method comes from Simon Sinek's bestselling book, Start With Why. Simon illustrates the simple, but powerful, method of starting every project with, "Why?"

The why is to shift the cultural mindset around land stewardship in the Pacific Northwest. This vision is displayed front and center in hero section as a symbol of importance and hierarchy.

The how is to spread agroforestry knowledge through stories, art, events, and research. The how is most prevalent on the Learn and Get Involved pages that organize the aforementioned topics to make it easy to learn about land stewardship.

The what is their services – consulting, public speaking, and biochar creation. These are cleverly integrated into the menu as Services so the user is clear on tangible things they offer.

My specialty as a designer lies in my ability to organize information and display it in an attractive and clear manner.
