Jesse Poland’s team is reimagining Saudi date palm cultivation—from extractive monocultures to biodiverse, resilient agroecosystems. The project blends time-tested oasis practices with modern tools to improve sustainability and farmer livelihoods.

Grounded in the team’s framework and research on cultivated oases, the concept highlights closed-loop inputs: mulch from palm trimmings, manure from rotational grazing, intercropping for diversified income, bee pollination (with drone support if needed), and soil-first management.

I translated the system into a modern website and an interactive centerpiece illustration (Rhino 3D, Procreate, Illustrator, Midjourney). The result is a clear, memorable explainer that helps farmers and stakeholders grasp the why, what, and how of a regenerative date palm future.
